Round wood made from robinia
Playground design with robinia wood
- Due to the unique curved growth of the robinia, it offers exceptional design options for building natural playgrounds. True to the motto of pure nature, locust wood should also be used here in its natural state, as it is robust and resistant to fungal infestation and pests. A playground made of robinia wood is very resilient due to the high hardness of the wood.
- A robinia trunk can be processed almost completely because it consists of little sapwood. That's why there's a lot of heartwood available that can be made into palisades and boards.
- A playground should not only be a place for your children, but should also offer them a space for free development. Children should have space for imagination and play. You can implement these ideas with robinia wood.
- With natural playgrounds made of robinia wood, children gain access to the importance of sustainability and environmental awareness.
Robinia lumber
- Individuality certainly suits them as well as our robinia's individual twisted growth. With our wood you can reliably implement your wishes and ideas. Its technical properties make it easy to use for substructures or according to your own ideas.
- We offer you slats and boards in 22 and 40 mm thickness and a width of 50 to 140 mm. We supply squared timber in thicknesses of 40 to 90 mm.
- It's all about the right screw. Robinia wood naturally contains tannic acid, which makes the wood particularly durable. Due to the acidity of the wood, we advise you to use authentic stainless steel screws to hold the wooden boards in place. Robinia wood is not called the teak of the north for nothing; its hardness means it promises a lot of stability. However, this must also be taken into account when building with robinia wood. When drilling boards, you must always pre-drill the holes. When using a cordless screwdriver, it is recommended to only use it in 1st gear so that the screw head and screw remain intact.
- When using robinia outdoors, as with any natural product, you should remember that it works with the outside temperatures. To prevent deformation of the wood, we recommend professional fixation. Here, slats and boards must be screwed every 40 - 60 mm. Oil the wood once a year. Oiling can prevent deformations. However, the robinia wood does not require any mandatory oil treatment to preserve the wood.
